I have heard so much about the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History... IT TOTALLY LIVED UP TO EVERY EXPECTATION AND MORE.
The circular design of the museum is outstanding and there's so much to see. And the whispers of voices that I heard that you can hear in the lobby of the museum is PHENOMENAL. It's like the Ancestors speaking, but it's actually the people having conversations in the building and the architectural is intentionally designed with the effect of hearing voices. Truly phuckin' amazing!...

ReplyDeleteI need to ask you, however, about your presentation of "Otta Benga". Is this the same person as Ota Benga, who was put on display in the Bronx Zoo in 1906. His story is amazing, but would not be summed up by your image or the caption.

ReplyDeleteWOW! I had no idea that Ota Benga was a real person! My presentation of Ota Benga is a publicity still (that I LOVE) from the film "The Fall" which brutha Delmar turned me onto.
The Fall (2006) is an adventure fantasy film directed by Tarsem Singh which has this one particular character (of many) Ota Benga who BROKE HIS CHAINS during ENSLAVEMENT in order to be FREE!.
