QUOTATIONS OF "BLACK"
"Whenever I use BLACK it relates to some history of Africans in that particular place. It’s the idea of the color BLACK as a metaphor, or as a representation of African-Americans. It’s the notion of BLACK- BLACKNESS - and all its other meanings in relation to the history of race..."
- Fred Wilson
"Most of my fortitude to continue doing the work comes from the moral outrage I feel about the injustices that Black people endure disproportionately daily."
- N. Abdul-Wakil
"In the end, what matters is not skin shade but pan-African consciousness. Loving your complexion, your nose, lips, hair length and texture, no matter what the politics or trends decide, and simply be. That's the problem with us (African folks). We're still learning how to love ourselves. So used to glorifying others and putting others first..."

A young brutha by the name of J.R. has released a number of same gender loving music videos and I wanted to share one of them called Will U Marry Me Boy?
It's so good to see more and more artists (and people in general) expressing themselves AUTHENTICALLY around the same gender love experience!!!
Cuba, 1948. Chico is a young piano player with big dreams. Rita is a beautiful singer with an extraordinary voice. Music and romantic desire unites them, but their journey - in the tradition of the Latin ballad, the bolero - brings heartache and torment. From Havana to New York, Paris, Hollywood and Las Vegas, two passionate individuals battle impossible odds to unite in music and love.
A real estate broker is necessary today because transactions are more complicated. Identifying the right property to rent or buy is the easy part however, the process of concluding the deal is more difficult. Recently, I have noticed that many customers are going directly to websites to find properties. It is important to note that those brokers advertising the property often represent the seller or landlord and not the buyer or renter. It is extremely important that customers have their own representation who can help them in navigating the real estate waters. In the case of renters often they will be asked to pay the brokers fee although some landlords will pay part or all of the fee. For buyers more often than not the seller will pay the commission.
Finding the right mortgage broker or banker is very important in this current economic environment. Getting a mortgage now is more than just about the rate. The correct terms of the loan can get you the home of your dreams. I often recommend three or four different mortgage reps that can help you arrange financing. Good credit is key. The process of reviewing your credit and addressing any outstanding issues are an important factor in shopping for a home or a rental. It is better to know your credit record in advance rather than when you find the home of your dreams but it is snatched away because you were not prepared. A good broker will assist you in this process.
Attorney's can be great advocates. They review all the paperwork that corresponds to the transaction and make sure your interests are protected. They review property & building information, liens, tax documents and order title reports to make sure you are getting what you think you are buying.
I am proud of my reputation for representing both renters, landlords, buyers and sellers. Through our international relocation department I have referred my associates and friends to other competent brokers all over the world and the United States. If you would like more information about selling your home, purchasing your home or apartment or renting, please let me know.

One FUN thing I LOVE playing is a game called WARRI . It is the oldest game in the world and originated in AFRICA. It is played many different ways and called numerous names depending upon the region of the world. The play mechanics in terms of thinking is as challenging as chess YET incredibly easy to learn and play like the simplicity of checkers. I have two WARRI game boards (the bigger one shown above). I bought both of them and learned the rules of WARRI from my friend and mentor, Oba. Click the pic to find out more. Really qool!
The Term "Same Gender Loving" (SGL)
"Same-Gender-Loving" or "SGL", its meaning which was coined and derived out of the Black community "...emerged in the early 1990s to offer Black women who love women and Black men who love men (and other people of color) a way of identifying that resonated with the uniqueness of Black life and culture". Basically, it's a CULTURAL AFFIRMATION SPECIFIC to PEOPLE OF AFRICAN DESCENT. We speak for ourselves and self-identify for ourselves.
I live its ideology through LOVE and ACCEPTANCE.
