Other Countries annual Summer Solstice open reading will take place on Saturday, June 23rd from 7:00 pm- 9:30 pm at the LGBT Center, 208 West 13th Street (between 7th & 8th Avenues), Room 310. Reader signup will begin at 6:45 pm.
EXPANDING THE OTHER COUNTRIES DOCUMENTARY
Please tell us if you will participate in an on-camera interview for the expanded Other Countries documentary by Robert Penn. If you are interested, will you agree to have the video interview taken in your residence with a crew of four - Robert, camera operator, sound mixer and production assistant - or would you prefer coming to The Center to be interviewed on camera? Finally, will you be willing to answer questions about your history with Other Countries and your experiences with HIV/AIDS in the Black Gay and Lesbian Community? Robert Penn will ask when you joined Other Countries; If and how your participation in Other Countries has impacted your views on gay experience in Black Communities and HIV/AIDS in Black Communities and ; If and how the AIDS epidemic has shaped your writing; and How Other Countries has affected your writing and participation in Same-Gender-Loving/Queer/LesbianGayBisexualTransgender Communities.
